When: Thu., July 29 2010
Being a seaside town, it’s no wonder that Charleston has been so eager to help with the relief efforts for the Gulf oil disaster. Patrons have given an extra buck or two from their wallets to the many eating and drinking spots around town participating in the charitable activities, including Social, Torch, and Poogan’s Porch. According to Sean Ferneau, the director of Aster Hall and one of the organizers, the REVFoods and Abita fundraisers have already brought in $11,000. Now Moe’s Tavern is stepping up with a dinner at their downtown location. On Thurs. July 29, they’ll offer a seafood dinner, with fried mahi, fried crawfish tales, hush puppies, and blue cheese cole slaw. All profits will be donated to the cause.
