Learn how African Americans have helped shaped Lowcountry culture. Participate in crafts and activities to entertain and educate children and families about the unique heritage of the Gullah people. Presenters include Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation and the Gullah/Geechee Nation Wisdom Circle Council of Elders. Gullah/Geechee artisans will showcase their works and explain how these traditions continue to be maintained and passed on.
