This class is a yoga teachers workshop, also open to aspiring teachers. Often teachers place their hands on students to create changes or offer direction within the asana. Using marma points to create adjustments encourages the student to: make the effort of change, informs direction of energy, creates muscle memory, and invites a more proprioceptive/interoceptive perspective of body/breath/energy within asana. A brief description of marma points and their superficial use in yoga-asana as a method for adjustments. About Martha Catz, M.S., E-RYT-500: Martha has practiced yoga for over 20 years with more than 5000 hours of yoga teaching experience.
