Industry Night Live!

When: Sun., Aug. 28, 8 p.m. 2016

If you’ve ever worked in food and bev, you know the job is filled with possibilities for comedy. From slipping with a huge tray of food to dealing with wack customers, finding the humor in each service is a good server’s saving grace. Nobody knows this better than EffinBRadio podcast host Lindsay Collins and her co-hosts Nikki Anhalt Fairman and Philip Michael Cohen. Each week the three dish about all things Charleston food, and to hilarious effect. Now they’re taking their podcast to the stage with a one-night-only revue, Industry Night Live. “We’re going to open with stand-up from Phil,” says Collins. “Then there will be three restaurant-themed sketch comedy scenes, and a live interview with James Beard Award winning FIG chef Jason Stanhope. It’s going to be way more fun than working brunch on Mother’s Day.” FIG owner Adam Nemirow is one of Industry Night Live’s writers, and pop-up ramen guru Jeffrey Stoneberger will emcee. Plus, there may just be a superstar in the mix. Collins is trying to convince local darling Bill Murray to join the cast. No word on whether he’s agreed, but isn’t the mystery all the more reason to attend? —Kinsey Gidick
