Get your glowsticks and furries ready. Chicago-based electronic artist Ryan Raddon — a.k.a. Kaskade — is heading out on his biggest North American tour yet, and he’s bringing his Freaks of Nature Tour to the Music Farm this week. Kaskade has been headlining on the festival circuit for the past five years alongside names like Steve Aoki, Avicii, Flux Pavillion, Nero, and David Guetta. He’s collaborated with Skrillex, Deadmau5, Haley, and Tiesto, and he’s performed with massive stage setups at Identity, Ultra, Electric Daisy Carnival, and this year’s Coachella festival. One might think, “Dubstep, that’s not for me.” But Kaskade brings an eclectic mix of hard bass, dancey house beats, and euphoric top 40 remixes to the table. The material ranges from Beyonce and Britney to Daft Punk and even Timbaland. Locals can expect the over-the-top, ever-changing visuals the shows are famous for, and they should be ready for musically synced confetti cannons and the best light show they may ever see. Unless they see Kaskade again, that is.
