Nashville-based singer-songwriter Kate Campbell is weaving tales of southern culture this week at the Charleston County Public Library. Originally from the Mississippi delta, Campbell grew up during the Civil Rights Movement. Over her 18-album career, she’s used her experiences in her music to document the South’s societal changes. The show is part of Charleston Tells, a quarterly concert series that tells stories of the Lowcountry’s heritage. If you can’t make it, you can listen to her music online at katecampbell.com.
