In its second year, the annual three-night, two-club benefit series Kloverfest is a dual-purpose benefit project created to memorialize late Charleston musician Ryan Cargile (formerly of Kapone and In Reverie), who died in 2009 at the age of 30. The events feature several local band reunion shows. Proceeds benefit Cargile’s family as well as the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. “Ryan was a very well respected musician and songwriter in the Charleston area, as is evident by the number of local, regional, and national acts that have requested to be a part of this project,” says co-organizer Amy Hutto. Kloverfest concludes on Sunday at Jimbo’s with headliner Brian “Head” Welch (the former lead guitarist for Korn, pictured) with Wedding, the Letter Black, and Decyfer Down. Fusebox Poet and Sent By Ravens are also on the bill. Visit jimbosrockloungecharleston.com for more.
