Is it really time for another Kulture Klash already? Yeesh. Wait. That’s not a complaint. I really hope my written tone does not imply whining. Because I had such an awesome time at the last KK in October that I can’t believe I get to go to another one so soon. This time around, the massive arts party at the Navy Yard is centered around a water theme, so expect hand-painted surfboards, a dunk tank, wave and wakeboarding demonstrations, surf documentaries, a “yacht rock” dance party, and more. And there’s also works from about 50 artists (like Timothy Pakron, Ishmael, and Carl Janes, just to name a few), live music from local and national bands including Jason & the Juggernauts and Cusses, a photobooth from Abigail Marie, beer and wine from New Belgium Brewery and Social, and food by Roti Rolls, ROOTS Ice Cream, Little Blue Brunch Truck, and Annabell’s. I can’t wait. If you can’t come at night, stop by from 1-4 p.m. for the free artist reception.
Price: $15/advance, $20/door
