At the seedy Emerson's Bar and Grill on Philadelphia's south side, an audience sits waiting, not knowing that they are about to witness history as the legendary chanteuse steps into the spotlight for the last time, four months before her death at age 44. Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill features numbers "God Bless the Child", "Strange Fruit", and "What a Little Moonlight can Do".
