Alumni from the New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves will battle it out at the RiverDogs stadium in the inaugural Legends of the South Game this Friday. 1990s baseball fans will have an opportunity to relive the past and see some of the baseball greats in action at this event that features players like Bobby Richardson, Gene “Stick” Michael, Ron Blomberg, four-time gold glover Marquis Grissom, and two former members of the Braves 1995 World Series Championship, Ryan Klesko and Dwight Smith. “It’s an honor to welcome these legends to Charleston and we look forward to rolling out the red carpet for them,” says general manager of the RiverDogs, Dave Echols. The gates will open at 4 p.m. for fans to watch batting practice and get autographs from their favorite players. Don’t miss former Atlanta Braves Dwight Smith sing the National Anthem.
