When: Fri., June 17, 6-9 p.m. 2016
The Charleston Library Society hosts its first ever outdoor event, Libraritaville, as part of its summer series. This kick-off party takes place in the parking lot behind the King Street building, featuring an open bar, barbecue, and live music from Chris Bellamy. It seems fitting, given the event’s name — what we can only assume is a take on the classic song, restauarant, and state of mind, Margaritaville — that Bellamy once opened for Jimmy Buffett. A singer-songwriter and N.C. native, Bellamy sings about life on the water and in the South. In this vein, all guests are encouraged to don their best Hawaiian T-shirts.
Price: $60/nonmembers, $50/members
