Lighthouse Island Tour

The Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge, in conjunction with Coastal Expeditions, offers the first of four tours to Lighthouse Island where you can view the two 1800s historic lights. A presentation on the history of the lighthouses and lightkeepers begins at the Sewee Visitor and Environmental Education Center at 12:00 pm. Following the presentation, you will drive to the McClellanville boat landing and board the Coastal Expeditions Caretta ferry at 1:30 to travel to Lighthouse Island, located about 7 miles off the mainland.
