Visual Arts, City Picks

When: Mondays-Fridays, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Continues through June 12 2016

This past February local contemporary painter Tim Hussey opened his own studio, T. Hussey Studio, and his first exhibition debuts this weekend. Hussey’s new paintings, a series called Listing, feature both small and large canvases that integrate the typography of James A. Greene, a local African-American artist known for restaurant murals and store front lettering. By incorporating existing artistic elements and adding his own contemporary, abstract touches to each piece, Hussey has created works of art that speak to both the past and present. This opening reception will feature drinks and a DJ.
