There are plenty of New Year's Eve gigs in the works this month, but only one features the official reassembling of Live Bait. Any Mt. Pleasant club-goer of any degree of experience remembers this '90s rock band for their twang and grooves. The band gets together for a rare "reunion show" on Thurs. Dec. 31 at the Wild Wing Café in Mt. Pleasant.

"That's right, it is happening, people," reads a press release. "We can't think of a better way to bring in 2010 than to play some loud rock 'n' roll with you. We are ironing out the details right now with our rider, and clearing out the restraining orders so that we can be within 500 feet of each other."

The lineup features acoustic guitarist/vocalist David Dunning, bassist Ben Polk, drummer Scotty Price, percussionist Bruce Patrick, lead guitarist Chris Barrineau, pedal steel player Jay Jackson (of Jessica Simpson's touring band), with a few special guests.
