SEWE 2013

Living with Wolves Presentation

When: Fri., Feb. 15, 2 p.m., Sat., Feb. 16, 2 p.m. and Sun., Feb. 17, 2 p.m. 2013

For six years, the husband-and-wife research team of Jim and Jamie Dutcher lived with the wolves in Idaho’s Sawtooth Wilderness. The couple managed to earn the animals’ trust and learn that there’s more to the Sawtooth wolves than they originally thought. The Dutchers are returning to SEWE with their “Living With Wolves” presentation, one of the most popular events of the 2011 expo. In it, they’ll tell stories and show photos and video of their time with the wolves. Recently, the Dutchers have been touring for Living With Wolves, Ltd., an educational outreach program focused on creating a better understanding of the true nature of wolves and their importance to a healthy ecosystem. The Dutchers will be available after the presentation to sign their new book, The Hidden Life of Wolves. —Davin Turkewitz
