Every Friday night Awendaw Green and Palmetto Brewery partner up to host a free concert on the brewery’s loading dock stage. This week’s performers include Aaron Stephens Music, MOZO, and Zolopht. Guests can also purchase food from a featured food truck. “This week’s Palmetto Loading Dock Series continues to focus on a diverse selection of original music from Charleston and around the region,” says Awendaw Green’s Eddie White. Aaron Stephens is a soul singer/songwriter and musician raised in McAllen, Texas. He released his first full-length album, Hard Times Straight Lines in 2014 and has been gaining momentum ever since. Carlin Fields (guitar/vocals), Corey Fields (drums/vocals), Jesse Dillow (bass) and Justin Addlesberger (keyboard/rap vocals) founded MOZO, a blend of new age reggae, island, surf, pop and hip-hop, in 2012. The band has since relocated to Charleston from Chambersburg, PA. Zolopht describes its style as Colorado funk twisted reggae-rock. Since its establishment in 2009, Zolopht’s unique sound has earned local fame in the Colorado music scene, and this performance promises to bring that distinctive style to the Lowcountry.
