The infamous M. Dumas & Sons clothiers of King St. turn 100 this year, and the store is throwing a centennial celebration to showcase the styles of the city over the years. Both first-time and long-time patrons can celebrate with M. Dumas, which is known for its distinctive men’s retailers and local family run business. The event will kick off with a presentation by interim mayor Mike Seekings, and Society Street will be closed for the models to show off their styles, where guests are encouraged to stop by the store to view the fashion trends, drink cocktails, and to enjoy canapes provided by Duvall Catering. Notably, this celebration will also help recognize the marking of the day as M. Dumas & Son’s Day by the City of Charleston.
