Ash Wednesday may have come and gone, but we’re just going to play that denial card as long as we can and keep this party going. For all those experiencing PMGSD (Post-Mardi Gras Stress Disorder), Shem Creek is throwing the ideal event to slowly ween you off the holiday. Actually, the crawl was moved since Shem Creek was being dredged on Feb. 22. But the party’ll be the same. Brought to you by Lowcountry Parrot Head Club, the Mardi Crawl will hit up Shem Creek’s best drinking spots, all in the name of Mardi Gras. “We’re excited to be sponsored by Margaritaville tequila, Rex Goliath, and Corona,” says Sean Chapman, manager of Red’s Ice House. Starting at Red’s, follow along the trail toward Vickery’s, Water’s Edge, Shem Creek Bar & Grill, and the Shelter. You’ll find drink, food specials, and Jimmy Buffet-esque live music along the way. “A yet-to-be-revealed large grand prize will be given away as well,” Chapman promises. After you’ve made your rounds, head back to where you started, Red’s is bringing it home with a blowout after-party. Register online for the chance to win big and party bigger, the $25 ticket price includes a free T-shirt. Benefits will go to various Lowcountry charities.
