Ask most grooms what they were doing the night before their wedding, and we’re pretty sure hosting a comedy show won’t come up. But for Vince Fabra, that’s exactly what he’ll be doing. The day before he says “I do” to his fiancée Lindsay, he’ll perform alongside Dusty Slay, Sam Jackel, and Danny Green. “My set will mostly be centered around getting married the next day. I think the other comedians may have another surprise for me, a toast/roast-type performance,” Fabra says. “Other than that, it will feel like a fun stand-up comedy show — nothing too ceremonious about it. It will be friends telling jokes to strangers and most of my wedding guests.” And while the comic’s night-before-nuptials plans may be a little unorthodox, he’s not bucking all traditional wedding conventions. “The show will be after our traditional rehearsal dinner. My family is from New Orleans and Lindsay’s family is from Charlotte. Both sides are always telling me, ‘I’d love to catch a show some time. Why not have a show when everyone is in town for our wedding weekend?” he explains. That being said, show attendees are not invited to the big day.
