Comedy, City Picks

When: July 29-30, 10 p.m. 2016

Performer McQueen Adams fuses music, comedy, and video to create parodies of celebrities and movies and no subject is off limits. “My live show is about creating worlds that only exist in one’s mind,” says Adams. “It’s all sampling, impressions, music, and sounds. Everything is voiced live and it gets weirder by the minute.” In the past, City Paper has described Adams’ performance as “a chaotic, kaleidoscopic collection of songs, stunts, and sketches, with subjects ranging from Daft Punk and Gandalf to Jason Statham and Coldplay [that] follows a series of characters stumbling into hilariously absurd situations that compel them to burst into song.”
