Spoleto has a tendency to spoil Charlestonians, giving us a taste for international-level performances and leaving us in withdrawal when the festival wraps. Luckily, the Charleston Concert Association steps in to help fill the void the rest of the year. The CCA has a solid line-up for fall, including a show that brings to mind one of this past Spoleto season’s biggest hits, Circa. The Connecticut-based troupe MOMIX, founded by choreographer Moses Pendleton, combines dance with acrobatics and innovative special effects for a totally unique theatrical experience. They’ll be performing their fantastical show Botanica, which interprets the change of seasons through dance. The eclectic score includes everything from birdsong to Vivaldi.
