2213-A Middle St. Sullivan's Island
The dark green building holding Sullivan's Island's cozy Dunleavy's Pub is ground zero during the annual St. Patrick's Day celebrations along Middle Street. Dunleavy's always books an Irish-born singer/guitarist (last year it was Walter McDonough) to carry on from the front window stage area. While the throngs raise hell during the afternoon block party, the tipsiest stout-infused imbibers become the real entertainment, dancing erratically, stumbling to the floor, and ending up draped across someone else's lap or table. It's a boozy scene.
