Motormouth Mabel w/ Home Envasion, The Shaniqua Brown, Captain Blackout

When: Sat., June 26 2010

Reportedly banned from their usual haunts (for malicious mischief, high volumes, and beer spillage, among other things), Charleston/Brooklyn punk band Motormouth Mabel — fresh from a house gig with fellow punk act Steve Hit Mike at a spot called Blue Tile — jumps back on stage on Sat. June 26 with a set at Jimbo’s Rock Lounge. The band’s new nine-song album Catch the Fury is a cassette/online collection released by Tick Tock Records. The band shares the bill this week with Home Envasion, The Shaniqua Brown, and Captain Blackout. Band member Tobias Denney calls it, “One night, two dollar beers, three times the fun, four band, five bucks, and unlimited radness.” Burlesque performances by the Red Hot Rebelettes are planned for the event as well. The gig starts at 8 p.m. —T. Ballard Lesemann
