Downtown art gallery and performance space Eye Level Art: 103 (103 Spring St.) is keeping mighty busy this season with a wide variety of visual art and musical events.

Their weekly Improv Music Night keep rolling on Tuesdays. It's an evening of improvised, spontaneous, experimental, and collaborative music "by musicians for everyone" from 8-11 p.m.

Billed as "The Beach Tour," trio of duos from Brooklyn — She Keeps Bees, Naked Hearts, and This Frontier Needs Heroes — performs on Sun. July 18 with sets of indie-folk, blues, and pop, as well as a bit of turntable action.

Co-presented by Awendaw Green, Nashville-based singer/songwriter/harpist Timbre and her band The Soil & The Sun share the stage with local songsmith Joel Hamilton on Tues. July 20.

Asheville-based composer and keyboardist Michael Bellar brings his jazzy/funky AS-IS Ensemble back for his second gig at Eye Level, with special guest Kellin Watson on the bill on Sun. July 25.

Manhattan-based acoustic string duo the Two Man Gentlemen Band get daffy on Thurs. July 29 with support from vinyl spinner Stephen Duane and ukulele-driven local band The Amazing Mittens. Cincinnati-based ensemble 500 Miles to Memphis headlines on Sat. July 31.

All shows start at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at a discounted priced for local students and Eye Level members.
