After a long day of work, there’s nothing harder than deciding between going home to crawl into your comfiest PJs or sticking it out in your work clothes and hitting happy hour. At Party for Pajamas you can do both. Local software company SPARC has teamed up with Windwood Family Services for one hell of a happy hour at Westbrook Brewing Co. The $15 ticket gets you three brews, donates a set of PJs to a needy child, and benefits Windwood Family Services, a nonprofit that provides psychiatric treatment and residential care for boys ages six through 16. “Every Friday in September, groups of volunteers from SPARC did service projects by painting, landscaping, and helping maintain Windwood property,” says Kristin Power, director of development at Windwood. Party for Pajamas celebrates that work and raises more money and awareness for Windwood’s mission. Although the ticket price includes drinks and a pair of pajamas, Windwood is always in need of boys’ pajamas, so bring an extra set. And feel free to wear your coziest jammies (leave the sexy teddies at home) and stuff yourself with food from the Moose Mobile BBQ and Baja Burrito trucks.
