When: Fri., Oct. 1 2010

Singer/guitarist Mark Bryan (of Hootie and the Blowfish) shares the stage with Atlanta-based pop/rock veteran Angie Aparo and Carolina string player/singer Patrick Davis as part of Chucktown Music’s songwriters-in-the-round series. Steve Fiore, a pop songsmith splitting his time between Charleston and Boston, opens the show at 8 p.m. Bryan has stayed busy this year promoting Chucktown Music events and collaborating with a variety of regional artists. Aparo regularly brings his polished, sophisticated power-pop to the Charleston area. South Carolina native Davis, now based in Nashville, has worked on songs with Jason Michael Carroll, Pat Green, Darius Rucker, Jewel, Guy Clark, and others. He was recently nominated for 2010 Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year by Music Row Magazine. His latest solo album is titled Numbers. These events provide great opportunities to see and hear some of the best young songwriting talent in the Southeast in an intimate setting. Music starts at 8 p.m. —T. Ballard Lesemann
