They’re always happy to see you. They’re the best snugglers, and you can call them embarrassing things. No, it’s not your significant other, it’s your pet. To celebrate the bond with your furry friend, Charleston County Parks and Rec is hosting Pet Fest, an event including activities for humans and animals alike. They’ll have contests at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. on both days with categories including best trick, furriest, most loveable, owner-pet look-a-like, a face only a mother could love, musical sit, and a costume contest. And your non-fur babies can play on inflatables and listen to live music. And for $10, your canine companion can participate in lure chasing. Food will be available for purchase. Pets must be leashed or restrained during the event.
