For the first time in Charleston, experience Cameron Mackintosh’s reinvention of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera. The production boasts 20 trucks of scenery, assembly, and speakers according to Alan Coker the PAC’s Director of Marketing. With newly reinvented scenic staging by Paul Brown, this version of the classic Broadway hit will be preformed by a cast and orchestra of 52, making this one of the largest productions currently on tour in North America. Cameron Mackintosh says, “I’m delighted that this spectacular new production of Phantom has been as well-received in the U.S. as the brilliant original. With an exciting new design and staging, retaining Maria Björnson’s amazing costumes, the new Phantom is thrilling audiences and critics alike all over again.”
