Minnesota-based artist Liz Miller will fill the first residency at Redux since its expansion, and she’s all geared up for a site-specific installation called Picturesque Evacuation Ploy. The artist has a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from the University of Minnesota, where she now teaches. Her huge, colorful installations are like a mix between a cut-out snowflake on crack and a Rorschach come to life. According to her blog, she’ll incorporate some historic weapon imagery she’s been collecting over the past few months. She’ll be working on the project from Oct. 1-21, and the curious can stop by at any point to see the work in progress. She’ll give a lecture right before the opening on Oct. 21 at 5:30 p.m.
