Superstar R&B singer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and studio producer R. Kelly leads his Ladies Make Some Noise! tour into Charleston this month. Kelly performs at the Gaillard Municipal Auditorium (77 Calhoun Street) on Sat. Oct. 24 at 8 p.m.
The sometimes-controversial artist released his tenth studio album Untitled on the Jive label last week. He shared on studio production duties with Infinity, Lil Ronnie, and Chris Henderson. The album's big new single "Number One" features performances from T-Pain and Keyshia Cole. Expect set of new jams as well as many of his '90s hits ("Sex Me," "Bump 'n' Grind," "Your Body's Callin'," and "I Believe I Can Fly") at the show, some smooth new material, and, possibly, snippets from his hip-hopera "Trapped in the Closet."
