Bawdy belles. Singing sweetly along to ukulele, guitar, and accordion, the musical comedy duo of Katy Frame and Marie Cecile Anderson will make you feel like you're at the Grand Ole Opry, circa 1975, but they'll also make you remember how much you hate your ex. "There are douchebags wherever you go," they warn in the chorus of one of their songs, grinning ear to ear all the while.
Speaking up for the Pill. Shortly after Rush Limbaugh called a Georgetown University law student a slut for advocating insurance coverage for contraceptives in March, the Whores released a little ditty called "I'm a Slut!" It made them briefly internet-famous, and it was easily the most entertaining critique to arise from the whole debacle.
Odd love children. Pop-break.com writes, "If Tenacious D and June Carter Cash got together after a night of drinking and had a baby, it would be Reformed Whores." That sounds about right.
