The Reggae Summer Nights Concert Series had its first event of the summer a couple of weeks ago at James Island County Park, and now they are back for another music-filled evening. This time, they will be bringing in reggae rockers Da’ Gullah Rootz to entertain the masses underneath Charleston’s summer skies. Da’ Gullah Rootz is a Charleston-based reggae band that integrates Gullah and Geechee-style lyrics with classic reggae rhythms, and their influences and melodies are as diverse as the culture they represent. There will be food, alcohol, and art vendors to create an ideal summer evening atmosphere. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the music goes from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., rain or shine.
Price: $8 (adults)
