Charleston hip-hop artist Righchus (a.k.a. Matt Bostick) brings the Righchus Renaissance to the Music Farm this Friday, celebrating hip-hop through visual arts, spoken word, fashion, and live performances. Righchus recently released his sophomore album Sweetgrass & Supras to great acclaim. As with his 2009 debut, Chaos Theory, Sweetgrass & Supras is a collaboration between Righchus and sibling/producer Max “Benjamin” Berry. The uptempo tracks “Welcome to Chaos” and “Mr. Hustle” are among crowd favorites at live shows. Righchus describes the latest collection as “very synth-driven with a very honest, Southern feel.” Keep an eye out for his forthcoming EP, The Illa. Benjamin Starr, Warren Jae, and rap trio OxyMoron share the bill at the Music Farm. Show time is 8 p.m.
