RiverDogs vs. Columbia

When: Thu., April 7, 7:05 p.m. and Aug. 23-25, 7:05 p.m. 2016

It’s that time of year folks. The RiverDogs kick off this year’s season on Thirsty Thursday with a game against their newest in-state rival — the Columbia Fireflies. Grab your $1 beer and settle in for an evening of baseball, boiled peanuts and cheap booze. DJ NattyHeavy will be spinning tunes and the Joe will be releasing their newly revamped concession menu. New offerings this season will include the Shrimp-N-Grits Corn Dog, a Spicy Chorizo Rice Bowl, and the Hawaiian Dog, piled high with pineapple relish and topped with lemon and herb aioli. The game will open with a special performance of the National Anthem featuring a grand piano provided by Fox Music and will close with the first of 15 postgame fireworks extravaganzas. Matt Dean, Director of Broadcasting & Media Relations says, “We’re celebrating our 20th season at the ballpark so there will be plenty of reminiscing of the last 19 years both on Opening Night and throughout the season.”
