Robert Lange Studios moving deeper into the French Quarter

Gallery got a little too big for its britches

Robert Lange Studios is preparing for their final show in their East Bay location. Measure: Creatures Great & Small, will be on display from Sept. 4-30. After that, they’re on to bigger and better things. Much bigger. But don't despair — they'll still be in Charleston.

The popular gallery is moving to 2 Queen St., formerly Charles II Gallery. In their current 900-square-foot space, Robert and crew are finding it difficult to rotate the images around the gallery in such a way that each of the artist’s works gets the equal exposure and representation it deserves. At 2400 square feet, the new gallery will give RLS the opportunity to branch out. The opening of the new gallery is set for Oct. 3, with works from Nathan Durfee (pictured).

Look for new projects such as "Paint Different," which challenges artists to create different kinds of art and selling it for a good cause. The proceeds of the sale go toward art education and providing art supplies for children in the community.
