Santa Run Bar Crawl

When: Sat., Dec. 17 2011

Ho, ho, hold up — where’s your costume? Don’t show up to Charleston’s Santa Run Bar Crawl without one, because some sort of festive attire — be it a deck-the-halls display or a simple Santa hat — is mandatory. The event will kick off with an 8:45 p.m. check-in at Henry’s, which is one of five participating bars in the Market and Easy Bay area. The Christmasy crawl will also include stops at Wild Wing, the Brick, and one surprise location before reaching Johnson’s Pub, whose patio will be transformed into a snow-filled winter wonderland. Each bar will have $3 and $4 beer, as well as liquor and shot specials throughout the night. There will be a costume contest, and the three best male and female get-ups will be rewarded with cash and prizes. In addition, Get Real Charleston, the nonprofit organization putting on the event, will donate proceeds to a charity of the first place winner’s choice. You’ve finally got a use for that reindeer sweater grandma knitted you, so Febreeze off the mothball odor and come crawl around Charleston to spread some Christmas cheer.
