Scars on 45 w/ HeyRocco, Fusebox Poet

When: Sat., Nov. 26 2011

British pop-rock quartet Scars on 45 are ready to make a splash in the U.S. The Leeds-based quintet enjoyed some exposure here when their catchy melodic song “Beauty’s Running Wild” was selected for a closing scene of an episode of TV’s CSI: New York. That lucky break led to a deal with Atlantic Records. Another new song, “Heart on Fire,” made its way onto the show Grey’s Anatomy this year, too. Reaching an American audience through television shows seems to be working fine for the band, but they’ve pressed ahead with a traditional tour this season as well. Singer Aimee Driver, singer/guitarist Danny Bemrose, drummer Chris Durling, keyboardist David “Nova” Nowakowski, and bassist Stuart Nichols visit Charleston behind their latest EP, Give Me Something (Chop Shop), a collection that stylistically bridges classic Brit-pop with modern Americana. Local bands HeyRocco and Fusebox Poet open.
