It’s a toss up for us: Is John Goodman’s greatest role in Coyote Ugly or The Big Lebowski? We’re kind of kidding, but if Coyote Ugly’s on TV, you can bet we’re watching. At least with The Big Lebowski we don’t have to be ashamed of our love. In fact, we can show our fandom with a group of people and a get-together — the way the Dude would want. For the second year in a row, the Charleston Music Hall will show the film followed by a party. “Almost everyone dressed up last year — that was about 250 people,” says Charles Carmody, director of the Music Hall. At the after-party at The Alley, co-sponsored by yours truly, winners of the costume contest could win Music Hall tickets, Alley gift cards, and swag from the City Paper. Honorary Lebowskis will also enjoy bowling, a dance party, and a free White Russian upon arrival. The Big Lebowski is the first film in a planned monthly series at the Music Hall.
