In Slowgirl, a two-person drama from PURE, a 17-year-old American girl flees to her reclusive uncle’s retreat in the Costa Rican jungle in an attempt to escape the aftermath of a horrific accident that caused her to be suspended from high school. Uncle Sterling has been living in solitude for so long he’s nearly forgotten how to converse, especially with a rambunctious teenage girl. But, over the course of Slowgirl, both characters are forced to confront who they are and perhaps what they might be running from. “They are each other’s last best chance, and crossing the chasm between them is ultimately what will bring them one step closer to their best selves,” explains Sharon Graci, PURE co-founder.
