The Charleston Beer Exchange loves great beer — especially potent ones. Dan Henry of Smuttynose Brewing Company, based out of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, is flying down today to talk about his carefully crafted concoctions. On tap will be some of their most sought after “Big Beer Series” brews. Really Old Brown Dog Ale, not to be confused with Old Brown Dog Ale, will kick the festivities off. For all of you beer connoisseurs, this 9 percent ABV was aged on medium toast oak, which imparts a unique richness and finesse. Anyone looking to score free swag will be more than satisfied with keychains, stickers, and T-shirts for the taking. The meet & greet is Wed. Sept. 30 from 4:30-6 p.m. Pick Dan Henry's brain and enjoy some rare beer.
