Open any food magazine and it seems like Charleston restaurants and chefs are getting praised. It can be overwhelming to try and stay on top of all the news, but with Southern Living’s Taste of Charleston, you can try out many of these lauded eateries and cooks. On Friday, Cottage on the Creek will host a catered dinner with harbor boat tours and live music. A Charleston variation of Iron Chef will take place on Saturday, with chefs from Fleet Landing, Middleton Place, Mosaic, and Eli’s Table battling it out for culinary glory. Throughout the weekend, 14 restaurants will be creating three-course menus with beer pairings. The culmination of the weekend will be at Boone Hall, where more than 50 of the area’s restaurants will be stuffing event-goers with food samples, beer, and wine while eyes can feast on juggling, acrobats, and the musical stylings of the Piedmont Boys.
