Three years ago, Fabulon's first ever show, Souvenirs of Summer, came about "because I was feeling like I missed out on summer getting ready to open the gallery," Fabulon director Susan Irish says. Now in its third year of life Fabulon is bringing Souvenirs of Summer back to celebrate the season. The series explores nostalgia for summer and documents places that have changed over time. It's a regroup after summer vacation before the gallery's new season starts in the fall. Work from numerous artists, both local and national, are on display. Look for mixed media pieces like Alison Bryn Ross' wire taxidermy sculpture and prints from Ohio artist Janet Ballweg.
