Stars and Guitars

When: Sun., July 3, 6 p.m. 2016

103.5 WEZL presents Stars and Guitars, an early Fourth of July celebration featuring some of Nashville’s rising stars, including current chart topper Dustin Lynch. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, including Firefly spirits, to get ya good and rowdy for the show. Runaway June and William Michael Morgan will open the show for Lynch. Runaway June is the all-female trio of guitarist Jennifer Wayne, lead vocalist Naomi Cooke, and mandolin player Hannah Mulholland. Wayne is no stranger to fame; she is the granddaughter of Hollywood legend John Wayne. “They’re like the Dixie Chicks reincarnated,” WEZL program director Tyler Reese says. William Michael Morgan landed a recording contract with Warner Music Nashville at 19 years old and booked his first appearance at the Grand Ol’ Opry in September 2015. “Morgan is a nice offset from Dustin; Dustin’s a little more rock, and he’s a little more traditional,” continues Reese. Recurring chart topper Dustin Lynch will headline the show, playing all his hit songs. US WEEKLY called him one of “The Sexiest Men of Country,” so he’s sure to get the crowd on its feet at this celebration. “Dustin lynch was a steal,” Reese said. “We have a good partnership with his label in Nashville. I think he’s on the same trajectory path as Thomas Rhett. He’s in a pretty good spot; he just had a number one song with ‘Mind Reader.’”
