It takes all kinds. Charleston-born Jerri Chaplin grew up in New Orleans and Honolulu, and she's a certified poetry therapist. Pat Riviere-Seel (pictured) was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. And Marcus Amaker lived in England, Japan, and Texas before settling in Charleston. He has published four books and recorded more than 20 albums.
Poetry sampler platter. On June 4, there will be a compilation event featuring veteran "Sundowners" like Denny Stiles and Eugene Platt, who'll be reading and reflecting on the 33-year-old poetry series.
