Tattooed Moose hosts a grand opening bash

Celebrating downtown's newest attraction

Get ready to trek beyond Upper King and Market Street — There’s a new place to grab a cold one downtown, and it’s all the way up on Morrison Drive. Opening their doors to patrons just last month, the Tattooed Moose has been nicknamed “The Moose” by regulars — and oh yeah, they already have regulars. In celebration of their success, the spiffy new bar/restaurant hosted a Grand Opening party Thursday, complete with happy hour prices all day and music from Jason & the Juggernauts, the first live band to play at the joint. Attendees were greeted with smokers and drinkers conversing on the picnic benches outside the front door. Inside was a live band, a busy bar, and a rowdy crowd getting down. We spotted many familiar faces from similarly laid-back bars like the Recovery Room, Upper Deck, and Voodoo (owned by the same folks as the Moose). Anyone looking to escape the college crowd should find their niche at the Tattooed Moose.
