This Halloween the Terrace brings us another year of horror titles that will leave you scared, in-stitches, or both. Screened this weekend are the acclaimed classics of the genre, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Hailed as one of “the most effective horror films ever made,” Tobe Hopper’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre raised the bar for the horror genre in 1974. The story follows the road trip and slaughter of a group of teenagers who go to rural Texas in order to investigate the possible vandalization of a family gravesite. On the other side of the scary movie spectrum, both raunchy and risque, is The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Written by Richard O’Brien, lovers Brad and Janet catch a flat tire in the middle of the storm and attempt to find refuge in a creepy looking mansion. The Terrace’s take on Rocky Horror also features a shadow cast performance. Along with the shows are $2 Pabst Blue Ribbon beer and $20 wine bottle specials. There’s Pabst Blue Ribbon beer giveaways and prizes too, like koozies, masks, glow sticks, bandanas, and free beer. Yes, free beer.
Price: $11, $8/student, senior citizen, & military
