If you’ve always dreamed of donating to a good cause, while playing one of your favorite arcade games, then head to The Alley this weekend for their Golden Tee tournament. Golden Tee, in case you didn’t know, is an arcade golf game. The Alley’s tournament coincides with that other big golf tourney —The Masters — and the person who registers the lowest score on one of Golden Tee’s courses wins a free round of golf at Wild Dunes Resort. That’s a hole in one! If you love golf but aren’t that great at the arcade version, fear not. Everyone who enters the contest has the chance to win a year of free golf at Wild Dunes. Each $5 donation goes to The First Tee of Charleston, a development program which teaches life skills and leadership through golf. The Alley’s publicist Jonah Jeter says that the Golden Tee tournament is for everyone, “It’s fun for the whole family as kids and adults alike love Golden Tee — and our multitude of other throwback arcade games and eight lanes of bowling. Best of all, we’re raising money for a great cause.” If all this golf talk is making you hungry, get excited for the Masters-inspired menu, which will feature egg salad and pimento cheese sandwiches, as well as the Master’s club sandwich. Start practicing your putt.
