The Cat in the Hat

When: Sun., May 30, 1-1:45 & 3 p.m. and Sat., June 12, 12 p.m. 2010

Based on the famous story by the great Dr. Seuss, the 'Cat' brings a cheerful, exotic and exuberant form of chaos to a household of two young kids one rainy day while their mother leaves them unattended. Bringing with him two creatures appropriately named Thing One and Thing Two, the Cat performs all sorts of wacky tricks to amuse the children, much to the chagrin of the family's pet goldfish. Set to the whimsical music of Dean Elliot, composer of the popular 1971 animated musical TV special, this brand new children's ballet is certain to be a hit among anyone who has ever needed a day to escape, forget about their worries, and have a great time. Presented by Piccolo Spoleto Festival.

Price: $26/adult, $16/ages 12 and under
