It was a pretty quiet week before the debauchery of St. Patrick's Day. Charleston does this holiday with class. No old lady boobs or falling 21-year-olds were spotted. The line to get into Tommy Condon's wrapped around the block. You couldn't have paid me enough to stand in that line. After a mandatory Call-a-Cab at Wet Willie's, my friends and I checked out the band and beer garden behind Mad River. The band was serious about their Pink Floyd. This is also a great place to go if you don't have much drinking money. They give away beers if you help them move tables! They're lucky they have any furniture left in there with that kind of trade. After doing my best Irish jig in the kitchen at Big John's with my friend Anna, I knew it was time to walk home. Top it all off with a sunny table at The Rooftop Bar for brunch and a chat over pink champagne with the bartenders at Social and you've got yourself a holiday weekend to remember. Oh yeah, I think car bombs should be $4 all the time!
