What is it? A brightly colored smorgasbord of sound and comedy from Atlanta's most famous volunteer marching band. The Marching Abominables have been entertaining Atlantans for 33 years. They're pretty good at what they do. They march on Marion Square for the Children's Parade and then host their annual midnight pajama march in the Market, followed by a concert on the Custom House steps on Memorial Day.
Why see it? Use the costumed antics of these not-so-serious musicians to blow off a little cultural steam.
Who should go? The young and the young at heart, and anybody else overwhelmed by the super-serious art all around them.
